The family crest.... above the front door
Now this was REALLY cool! And way interesting. The current owners of the house (and of the castle ruins) have collected tonnes of information about the history of the house and of my family. Really lovely people who welcomed us with open arms.
Oh.... as did my long-dead rellies. Gillian, H and I heard lots of knocking noises during the night.... which could only have been my gr gr gr gr (etc) grannies and grandpas saying hullo.

Oh, doesn't that place look fabulous. Now, if you're down Cheshire way you'll have to check out the your (and my) other family seat: Arley Hall.
BTW band got Silver in the Yamaha Festival on Wednesday. I'm sure we would've got gold if H & F were there!

Hi Hi Hi - am back online and just caught up on all the travels. The pics certainly capture some incredibly beautiful places and everyone looks like they're have an amazing time. Said it before and will say it again - thrilled you're there - thrilled all is well and - of course - thrilled you are all having such a GREAT time.
