I'm A Bag Lady!

This is what I've been doing......

Yep.... sewing stuff.  And, in typical Fe style, making lots of them.  The boys love them so much that I went and bought "boy fabric" and made them some too.

(Oh..... if you're a friend with a birthday in the next twelve months.... forget you saw these.  Please.)

And here is photo of my wonderful Dutch (and Belgian) blogging friends.  Wikke bequeathed them to me when she returned to the Netherlands...... an act for which I am enormously grateful.  (ED: The bequeathing .... NOT the returning to the Netherlands!!  Of course!)

We had a wonderfully nurturing and fun couple of hours together this morning.  The best medicine for what ails me.
And then I got to watch my first born play an Old Chinese Man in his class play.  Quite odd seeing him with such prominent facial hair.  A glimpse into the future?

So..... my heart is full and my fingers are sore (they are so pin-pricked that it hurts to type).  Life is good.

Best and Worst anyone?

My best....... seeing H perform brilliantly in the school play.

My worst....... F ignoring me in the school grounds.

My birthday is in May. Does that count? And can the shoulder strap go across the body?

Fe, you are a masterful sewer! Those bags are excellent, love the boy colours.

My boy ignored me during reading groups this week. Is still angry that I've brought him home from Thredbo (he wants to live there, suggested his dad could be a lifty).

LOL Lara! Yes.... May probably counts. Unless I've given them all away vowing to never sew again, by May. Likely. I'd better make extra now.... just in case.

And yes..... shoulder strap goes across body. Beautifully! And it fits laptop, knitting, phone, purse, kitchen sink etc whilst said shoulder strap is across body.

Thanks M! I figured they were fun, functional, didn't require a degree in rocket science (or fashion design) to make and would fulfill my urge to be creative. Problem is, I won't get to keep one until I botch one up. Haven't done that yet. Hmmmm.

F ignored me while I was in the COLA waiting for H to come out after his class play. F looked straight into my eyes and then away. Twice. Kept laughing with his friend. Grrrrr. Apologised when he came home (he knows which side his bread is buttered!).

H wants us to live in Plockton. Scotland. 5 hours north of Glasgow. Says I can be the local barmaid. Sounds pretty good to me.
