Phew...

I'm no Mary Poppins, but I've sworn more today (in front of my kids I should add) than in my living memory. People who live in this city should be forgiven much. It's so bloody difficult to traverse, and so bloody full that it seriously feels as though it might burst. And, quietly, I'm not enjoying the fact that it's 2 days until the 3rd anniversary of the London bombing.

Anyway..... here are the photos.....

We started with the London Eye....

...and then, because it felt too daunting to do it with just a map, we hopped on a Big Red Double-Decker London Tour Bus (complete with crap audio) for a 3 hour jaunt in major traffic.

There was a huge concert in Trafalgar Square..... which meant that half of the centre of town was too crowded to walk through. Shame. But then we found out that it was the London Pride Parade and all was forgiven....

F..... will you EVER smile in a photo?

Oh. Thanks.

Well thank you very much. Love the classy sign. And placement is everything.....

According to the look on the boys's faces your trip is very serious business! But I'm sure they're loving it!!

YES London can be very overwhelming - sooo much traffic and funky streets etc etc etc but mazel-tov for finding your way. Pics are still fab and the weather looks just beautiful. Good thinking re the bus tour > let some one else drive!
Look forward to the next exciting episode

Wow. A lot has happened since I last checked in. Someday I want to go on a holiday with you. You do the coolest things!

I'm surprised that you say F doesn't smile for photos. I always thought that boy must have been born smile first!

I hope the boys are keeping some kind of a journal of this trip - written journal, photo journal, their own blog, whatever. What an amazing experience you're giving them.

Good job Mary! (wink) (wink)

Thanks Trui! Boys are having a ball (just don't let on that I know!!) xxxxx

J.... Sssshhhhh on the new tops! The exchange rate is too awful to be spending money on anything but necessities. I did find that I didn't have clothes that could layer well enough for the hot and cold flashes that the European summer brings..... and so Marks and Spencer provided a couple of bright and cheery cheap tops. xxxxx

Joanie Joanie!! We HAVE HAD a holiday together! TWO holidays together!! When you came to me and when I came to you! Wasn't I fun then?!?

Glad you're enjoying my photos. I have a strong feeling of being close to Allie here in France. I keep thinking of how much she must be loving it here. Wish she was in Paris so that I could say hullo.
