Radio Silence....

It's not like me to not post for so long.

Boo is SO ill. We're up pretty much all night every night. He's coughing until he vomits and I'm changing his bed linen and washing everything and bathing and soothing him and sitting with him until he sleeps for 20 minutes before doing it all over again.

And I'm also racing to re-do my affidavit once again. I visited the lawyer the other day and was given instructions as to how to make my affidavit more effective. Instructions that basically involved re-writing the whole 17 pages and adding about 6 more appendices. I say "racing" because his office closes this Friday and we need to get it done (and discussed and edited by him and then signed and lodged) before then as he doesn't open up again until 10 days before the hearing date.

In the midst of this, Toto is dealing with all of the Year 6 Farewell stuff. His health has improved and I'm now convinced he doesn't have the dreaded whooping cough.... just a bronchial lurgy.

So, the telly is parenting my boys. My parents are feeding them. Things like supermarket shopping, washing (other than midnight bed-linen), cooking and tidying have gone out of the window. To be resumed when life calms down.

And tonight I have to attend Toto's Farewell Dinner. I need this like a hole-in-the-head but I refuse to let him down.

On the upside, "she" is doing really really well! She's dealing with everything, feeling less fragile and is almost to the point where I can tell her all about my dramas. I can't wait for that time. I really miss her wisdom and comfort.

Bloss just said she hadn't seen Boo at school for ages. Poor thing. Sick children really send you for six.

I hope the Yr 6 farewell is a great night. Bet they play Green Day's "time of my life".

I am thinking of you every day. I hope the kids are well again soon and we can come and see you.

Looking forward to that game of mahjong, here, there or Pearl Beach :)

mine are sick, too, there was the same suspicion of whooping cough, but it turned out to be 'just' a very nasty cold. i was telling my doctor that my children NEVER seemed to be sick in sydney, while picking up all illnesses now. could it have something to do with the minus one degrees outside???

It sounds like you are so run off your feet. Boo's illness sounds awful. I truly hope he feels much better soon. Thank God you have your parents.

What a bugger that you had to basically redo the affadavit.

Take care of yourself
