My boys and I have a ritual which we've recognised for the last 5 years, at least. Every second Friday night we have dinner with some very dear friends. The kids are more like siblings than friends, and we are incredibly lucky to feel like each others' extended family. The kind you get to choose.
Tonight was cold and raining. Still..... .... we all came home feeling nurtured and loved.

Great photos. Those kind of extended families are so wonderful - just as important as blood families. It's wonderful you and your kids have friends like that.
This blog is where I get to talk about everything and nothing.
I'm agonisingly honest and an eternal optimist. Life has thrown some challenges my way, and I discuss them candidly and grittily. Real-life issues that we can all relate to, such as depression, cancer, family court, child support, divorce, parenting, single parenting, dating, not-dating..... it's all here.
