What on earth is happening in the world? I missed the news this morning and was told about the horrors happening in Mumbai at lunchtime. I cried.
This is insane stuff. And I just can't get my head around it. Terrorism is the result of such disturbed perspective. How can the taking of life EVER be justifiable?
Please God (whoever and whatever you are) send some peace onto our planet. Soon.

Sometimes the Monty Python song just has it so right:
Pray that there's intelligent life somewhere up in space Because there's bugger all down here on earth.
I'd managed to avoid hearing about this till I read your blog.
(hugs) I know *nods head* I cry too at the very thought of all the loss and injured people. Terrorism is so so senseless and inflicted on people going about their normal lives. Oh WHY ?
Funnily enough.... I was thinking of that exact song earlier today, Mark. Great minds... and all that.
I know Trish. Especially when there are those of us who have experienced the process of trying SO HARD to create life (and those of us who are experiencing it right now, x-box (if you're reading my blog)).
I become overwhelmed thinking of the sense of loss that so many are suffering right now. And the tragic waste.
Also, I have stayed at that Hotel, and as trivial as it sounds in the face of the human loss, it was an incredible place. Unique and quite spectacular.
Terrorists in Mumbai, protesters in Thailand, and there was a horror smash on the bridge on our way home. I was very relieved to be back safe at home with the baby tonight.
Someone I know has a brother who is one of the hostages. Yesterday was a very hard day for her, she came to work as usual. Why? Because she retires this year and yesterday was her going away party. How hard that must have been....
This blog is where I get to talk about everything and nothing.
I'm agonisingly honest and an eternal optimist. Life has thrown some challenges my way, and I discuss them candidly and grittily. Real-life issues that we can all relate to, such as depression, cancer, family court, child support, divorce, parenting, single parenting, dating, not-dating..... it's all here.

It is just so senseless. I'm not sure we will ever understand why the terrorists do what they do...
Can't go anywhere today!

I have been following it here. There are definite down sides to being a news junkie with 24/7 access to all the world's horrors.
